Location: Boise, Idaho | My daughter will probably be going to school in Spain next fall and we'll have to visit her at least once. I told her she'd have to find us some Spanish guitars. In 2 weeks she'll be an Ovation owner, but I doubt she will be taking it with her. I expect to exploit whatever Spanish connections I have to enable her to continue her interest in guitars when she's there. You are the extent of my Spanish connections, Driftwood, so expect to be exploited. That is unless you are young, good looking and single. In that case, stay away from my daughter. |

Yeah right on Mark. Way to go. It is better she meets an older, uglier, married man.
Really though, as the parent of a daughter, I fear the time she leaves home. I pray by that time she will have the abillity to see men for what they are and picks one of the few good ones. However none of them will actually be good enough. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Good point OLJ. Let's just leave it as "stay away from my daughter." She has a boyfriend that we like very much, actually. He's taking guitar lessons and I picked out a guitar for his parents to give him for Christmas. Couldn't find an O in the $100 price range, but got him a Kaman product. He also plays golf with me, so he's trying hard to get on our good side. The thought of my daughter meeting some Spaniard who plays Ovations had me worried for a minute that she'd never come back. |

My daughter just got accepted into University of Portland's study abroad program in Spain for next year. She doesn't have all the details yet, but will probably be going next fall for one semester. I can't remember the city. I'll try to pay more attention when she is here for Christmas break and check to see if it is anywhere close to you. We are talking about visiting her in November. |
