2) Put a little more time in on musicianship. Cowboy chords and a great voice( ;) ), can only take you so far.
3) Be an flagrant Ovation snob less often. Not a big problem but a couple times a year I'll cross that line. I really do like some wood box guitars.....really.
4) Play my uke more. |

Dave, Can you please find me a Baritone Uke in Koa at an entry level price but adequate quality? A broken one in need of repair would be swell!
1) Sell for more than I paid.
2) Play and learn more electric.
3) Learn to play without the cheat sheet in front of me.
3) Be a better OFC Member and keep in mind the Slipkid Manifesto! |

| I was not a well man at the time. I had been taking vast amounts of Class A drugs for the previous 4 or 5 months and I'd just been staying with jeffW for a week.
Are those enough excuses?
And Moody had just given me a bear hug. All my ribs were broken and a uke was the only thing I could still lift. |

Especially the one about having to live with JeffW.
But none are good enough to over-rule that photo. After all... you even have a smile on your face.
Woody ... I'm with you pal... less dependence on cheat sheets. |

2. Dam, I screwed up the first one already.
I actually do resolve to learn some new songs.
I'll renew last year's resolution to learn some guitar theory.
I'll renew last year's resolution to learn to play electric. (At least I only have one, where Woody handles so many of them that he should be a virtuoso by osmosis.)
Lose some weight so I don't need a contour bowl. |

but that would never happen here...
resolutions... after almost 47 years have only actually kept a couple.
so now just try to live better, love better, and laugh more today, than I did yesterday.

So he links me up with This Baritone Solidbody
It needs a little Koa embellishment but it should be fun! |

1) stop biting my nails (again... 4 months is my record)
2) make some sort of clumsy effort to ask that gorgeous girl out who was at our gig on 23rd December next time I see her. (Be honest - if I ask over a microphone at the next packed gig, how likely is she to say no?!?)
Not sure which will happen first. My guess is that it will be birthday, nails, and then I'll have the confidence to make a muppet out of myself with the lady...

Lanikai makes a very decent tenor uke for the money and though i have no experience with their baritone size, i would chance 'um. |

In the interests of decency and to interrupt Jeff I thought I'd provide an update.
1. Miserable failure on the nails front. Already nibbled at 9 of them.
2. Consulted the 'magic 8 Ball' ( Linky Here ) for guidance re: the lady, and it said "better not tell you now", so may just give this up as a bad idea...
On the one hand "faint heart ne'er won fair lady".
On the other hand, the 8-Ball never lies.
Hmm... Watch this space.
