As a matter of fact, you look sort of childish. As a matter of fact, I forgot what I was going to say. Hang on to your twilight years with both hands and enjoy the ride. |

Death, destruction, and despair
People dying everywhere.
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
Now you are the age you are
Your demise cannot be far
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
Fear and gloom and darkness but
No one found out YOU KNOW WHAT
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
May the candles on your cake
Burn like cities in your wake
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
Were I sitting in your shoes
I'd go out and sing the blues
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
Pay attention, you must learn
First you pillage, THEN you burn.
Happy Birthday! (UHH!) Happy Birthday! (UHH!)
At your age most folks go blind
You've kept your sight, but lost your mind.

Location: Phoenix AZ | Thanks everyone for the good wishes. NO MARK, I'M NOT 50! That's next year. Actually celebrated yesterday because Mr. Scrooge made me fly on a plane to a very cold place in Utah today. Back home tonight. Paul, thanks for the uke - sweet, sweet, sweet.
I like the suggestion to buy a guitar for myself as a b-day present. But actually my present to myself, approved by the wife, is that I'm going to the Mike Dowling clinic in Florida. I can't wait.
Anyway, still work to do today. Thanks everyone again for the well wishes. I was talking to Moody earlier on the phone and I said, I don't feel old, I don't feel young, I just feel like ME. That's what I am.

Location: Boise, Idaho | It makes me feel better that you're not 50 yet, Dave. In fact, I was starting to get depressed thinking that you still have hair on your head and it's not gray and you didn't have a pot belly. Maybe I assumed you were older than you looked because you're the only guy I know with a flat stomach that likes contour bowls. For your 50th, maybe you can get another contour bowl Ovation.
Enjoy the last year of your 40s. |

Koa alpep slothead?
Cat-eye mandocello?
Contour classic?

| Hefner-style party - it's still Dave's birthday while the bar's still open.
It's SWMBO's birthday today. The champagne is chilling, the Merlot is breathing gently, the tiger prawns are making out on a bed of spinach and rocket leaves and the venison is marinading. Then I'm going to ruin it all and get a guitar out. |

And, if Lady Schroeder needs someone to accompany her to the table while you're working, just say the word! ;) |

Possibilities are endless. Actually I did buy myself a birthday present. It has no bowl, but when you see/hear it you'll understand why I could not pass it up.
