I have this simple little Bathroom project off of the room I have the guitars, PC, bins of stuff, etc.

Rip out, redo.

It was supposed to be done by Christmas according to the Contractor. Besides sharing the other bath I have had restricted access to my guitars and stuff.

The upside is that the acoustics are great!

Woody,

While you're waiting run a mic in there and record something.

Think you'll beat Al's remodeling project?

Next time, do it yourself. It will get done quicker, and you will know that it is done right!

I haven't laid tile before but after watching I'll probably give it a try on the next bathroom.

And not soon!

Go rent the biggest tile saw you can get from Home Depot and have a go at it - if you can make those pickguards, you can lay tile.

I did a complete tear-out/re-build job on a bathroom last year. PITA. Not sure I'd do it again.

I agree on the tile saw: Get a BIG ONE! Mine was too small for my tiles and it made the job way harder than it needed to be.

Here's another reason for the big tile saw:

I did my kitchen floor with oversize tile (I believe they were 16 inches). The problem is that I did them diagonally. Even with the biggest saw they had, I had to make alot of cut by eye without the guides.
