Location: Tennessee | I went to the Acountic Cafe tonight at the NAMM show ... some really awesome players. Makes me want to take up a different instrument ... but what the hell, I'm too old a dog to learn new tricks.
But the highlight was without a doubt the set played by Matt Smith (and friends). Brad Davis was supposed to play (sponsored by Takamine), but unfortunately had a death in the family so Matt stepped up. He stole the show. In addition to absolutely killer guitar, he also did some amazing vocals. Wish I had the performance on video. The crowd was blown away.
Matt, I'm a Believer and I'm a Junkie for Your Love. :D |

Location: SoCal | Was up there but had been told Matt had the afternoon off...nothing about a change in performers last night. So, left about 3:30pm to beat the heavy traffic. |

(and for those who don't know, Stonebobbo is quite the performer/guitarista too!) |
