Location: Hicksville, NY | Last Friday, I had the opportunity to meet with Mitch and his son, Andrew [aka flipsyde] at his home. With my busy schedule, it's a rare treat to be able to get together with fellow OFC members, and enjoy playing with our favorite guitars.
Thanks Mitch for having/had the opportunity to play with your guitars. The CL, elite and 12-string are very sweet sounding. I also want to thank you for the lessons in music ... I just need to practice some more and get used to barring with my ring finger for them funky chords.
Any future get-togethers are definitely worth looking forward to... :) |

Location: Carle Place, NY | Friday was a lot of fun. Gil & I had a great time. I think between the two of us we could put together enough to start a "coffee house" type of set. I going to try and set up a night at the New Hyde Park Elks lodge in April. It's the perfect venue as it only holds about 60 people and it's a nice bar atmosphere.
Just as an update to Gil's prior post. He recently traded his 1861 SSB Balladeer for an 1869 SSB Custom Legend. The CL is stunning to look at, a beautiful cherry burst. I was very surprised at how good it sounded acoustically. It was far superior to any SSB I've every played before.
Are there any other metro NYC folks lurking out here that don't post often? |
