What were your impressions of your first NAMM Show?? First four hours- complete sensory overload. Felt like RainMan at a fire drill...
I knew there would be a lot of stuff... but, really, had NO idea it would be THAT much stuff.
Of course, I was positively giddy at the Lowden booth... even BEFORE I met Richard (yes, we are now on a first name basis). Once you get used to the glitz, noise, barely dressed convention girls and shear size of it all, t'was cool to scope-out just the things that really interest me...
... then discovering the cool things you didn't know existed. For instance, there is this small company called "Blackbird" who have designed a very interesting acoustic travel guitar made of phenolic resin/ carbon fiber. They are still in prototype, but I think they are really on to something in terms of materials and design...
And then, there's just hanging with all the OFC gang which is always a blast.
I met Russ aka MusicaMex... in fact, we roomed together... Very Cool HumanBeing, Russ is. Turns out- we share a close common connection from years before OFC was ever conceived....
Great Time. |

I cant believe they are that shallow. I mean just because they felt sorry for Moody doesn't mean anything.

Location: Boise, Idaho | We were just discussing how to get into the show to see guitars. Something else to think about. Took me a couple tries to notice Paul's shirt, a couple more to see that they appear to be in front of the Scheckter booth and then I just noticed the guy behind them with the big grin on his face. They must look good from the back, too. |
