Location: Austin, TX | Yes, I'm 55 and just got my first Ovation and just joined this site, but please humor/tolerate a rookie here! I got a Country Artist 1624-4, and I've searched and searched the internet to find one that has so many multiple inlays on the neck like this one does - does that ring a bell to anyone?? Is it rare, is it fake?? Anyone know?? Thanks, happy to discover this "club". |

Click the "Ovation fan Club" link at the bottom of the page to make sure that you have the green banner on the left side. Then post a picture or two of your guitar.
Be kind to the Rookie?

Or perhaps the 1995 Collector
I happen to like the diversion. |

It's neither of those two Collector's Editions . . .
I'm pretty sure it was a newer version of the CountryArtist. Witko had one (and I think Schroeder has one as well).
The rosette just gives me the impression of an Indian Blanket being flushed down a toilet . . .
(edit: THAT's the one, Jeffrey!! ThankYou!!!!)

| Hmmm I've never seen an Indian blanket flushed down a toilet before. I have to get to New Jersey someday and, for sure, I'm going to bring a camera.
Those little figures on that newer Country Artist (I think Jeff had a link to) look like little B & W halloween ghosts to me... or from a little more distance litle shark teeth or waves. I am not sure I like this pattern either.
I kinda like the earlier posted links that do have that western indian pattern sort of look to them. I have never seen one of those up for sale before. In fact I do not remember seeing one of the members post a photo of one before either. Must not be a lot of those made.

Location: Phoenix AZ | Cliff was dissin' my 6773 Country Artist. I sold it just because of him. Seriously, I could NOT play it without thinking of an indian blanket being flushed down a toilet.
But I think I may have trumpted him with "spooge on a toilet seat" describing the whitey pearly ME-6 guitar thing.
