But whither prog rock? A quick acan shows Pink Floyd as the only prog rock group in there. Jethro Tull should be in there, The flute as a rock instrument?; as a lead rock instrument!?!? Who else pulled that off? Yes, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, The Moody Blues!?!?!?!?!?!? These guys created and defined a genre for decades and made music - 90% of which stands the test of time and still sounds great.
I mean AC/DC is in and these guys aren't!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Of course, what do I know. I like Ovation guitars... |

| Ignoring any personal preferences, it is unbelievable that Carol King isn't in the Hall of Fame.
The Hollies are the only band who had more hits than the Beatles in the UK. |

Location: Hicksville, NY | I'd vote for Rush. They've been consistent and going strong for 40 years. Yes, Geddy's voice may be annoying at times [especially in their early years], and that they may not be associated with Top 40 record singles, but all their albums have been certified gold and their live performances are quite legendary.
Carole King? Definitely! She was responsible for putting a lot of singers on the map, through the songs that she wrote for them. Her Tapestry LP, is a greatest hits album in itself. |
