Location: Scotland UK | Hi, just joined and glad to be here. As well as several electrics and amps, I have 3 Ovations - Balladeer, Pacemaker and Classical. I'll put up some pics and model nos when I get a minute.
All are c 1980's, all have the usual "issues" including lacquer cracks and (in the case of the 12 string) the neck hump where it joins the body (as if I'd ever play a 12 string way up there!), but I love them all equally. |

Location: New Hampsha | Hi, Marshallhead and welcome to the OFC!
We can never get enough pictures of guitars, and Pacemakers are especially beloved, so please do post when you get a chance! We'd love to see them.
Hint: (Scenery in the background always draws a crowd and a big response.) ;)

Location: Boise, Idaho | Welcome. Just be sure your lawn is mowed before you take pictures of your guitars on it. The polyurethane or polyester finish cracks are hard to fix. I thought I'd develop a method of getting super glue or clear fingernail polish down there and then make a bunch of money repairing finish cracks, but I just end up playing the guitars with the cracks in them. I only have one cracked one left.
As for the neck hump, it's common on lots of guitars and may help get the action down nice and low from 14 or 12 frets up to the 1st. |
