Location: Paris/France | Hi,
This evening was a special one because my Balladeer shiny bowl (#1987) was waiting for me at home.
It was magical when I've open the old chipboard case and when I've seen that beauty for the first time.
She's got some marks of its age but it's a wonderful guitar and I can't tell you how it sounds!!
I'm simply amazed by the projection of such an old Lady and without any doubt, it's one of the best Ovation I've ever heard.
So sweet and so powerful at the same time;
The action is near to be perfect and the frets are in very good condition that's why she's so easy to play.
My fist intention was to have a shiny bowl as a collector item but now I'm sure that she will not stay in her case because she really deserves to be played... ;)
I'm so happy !!!
J :)

I'm so glad to see you there.
Remy is one of the greatest O's fan in France, he's much more crazy than me and he's the lucky owner of this wonderful ADAMAS SLOTHEAD!!!
I'd like to mention that he's a very good guitar player and I'm lucky to be his friend.
Welcome "Doc"!!! :D :D :D

Was that slothead one of Marcel's? |

It is a wonderfull guitar, I love the beige color and it sounds so great.
Great to see you here Rémy.

What did you tell me then? "I am sure you will find another wall!"
Well my friend, you will find another wall as well!
First get rid of the tv, the heating and this, what is it, a window? And go on shopping!
This won't be your last guitar!
Best regards to france,

Location: Germany | Wonderful Jerome, these shiny bowls sound absolutely great. After seeing this video I also took my Dlx Balladeer and tried this sunny tune. Well, the guitar sounded great as well, but the result was not comparable to yours. As I know that you are a fab four fan I am going to practice some tunes for our summer OFC meeting.
Enjoy!

Good video but I thought it was illegal to play guitar in France with a flat pick? You're right Paul.
Somtimes I feel alone with my flat picking style while the others are all playing fingerpicking with a thumbpick.
I'm an alien here in France!!! :D :D
I'm working some tunes for the European OFC gathering next summer and I hope to be ready.
Thanks guys. ;)

Don't you think that there's already enough catastrophes in our world??? :D :D
I've never had any trouble of sliding with the back of Ovation guitars.
These guitars are perfect to me and my Shiny Bowl is like the others.
