Location: Phoenix AZ | Here's a shot of my newest Ovation, received today. Can you identify it? The first person to correctly (and completely) identify what this is will win a nice Ovation trinket. The 4-5 people that already know about this are not eligible. I'll post a new photo every few days until someone gets it.

And yes, to verify my earlier post; I actually did just purchase one of these today. :D
Congrats again Tupperware! |

And it says "Adamas" on it. If it earns the name (to me) I'll call it an Adamas. Dave, I think your post last month was really HINT #1. I immediately thought of this one...

Same dark, matt wood on the fretboard too. |

For Dave, this could be a hell of a prize!
The prize is most likely a 40th Balladeer K-1111 Re-issue! That there is what Dave calls a trinket. |

Bruce nails it, although I should disqualify him for using the archived posts. Anyway, yes by the good graces and extra efforts of Lost Art Vintage, I was able to obtain one of the NAMM display models for the Adamas Custom Shop. Amazing guitar both sonically and visually. And absolute one of a kind. It's been no secret that I love shiny bowls and I love contour bowls, so HOW in the heck could I say no to this one? The top is really cool, it's a black/grey burst in gloss finish. The whole freaking guitar is glossy black. I'll post more photos, but I know already that this dog will be very difficult to photograph with all the glossy. Thanks again to Al and to the factory for turning out such a cool instrument.
Dave
PS - Cliff, yes this is another "stealth" adamas but this time it's on a cocktail mix of steroids and viagra. You would love this one. Actually Rick commented that the black glossy motif was to mimic the original Q. |

As I was reading your description, the first thing that came into my mind was the Q, and reminiscing about waltzing around my MusicRoom with Q10. Bit of a bitch to "hang onto" sitting down, but absolute KILLAH standing with a strap!
ConGRATS, Dave!!
Sounds like a really cool guitar!!!

Congrats, Dave, that's a beautiful guitar!

Location: Phoenix AZ | I realized that this guitar probably had the same strings on from namm and was strummed by hundred of the grubbiest hands you could imagine (and that was just at Al's house). I restring with some nice NON-EXP medium da's. Holy Donkey Duck, puts a rumble in your bumble. Also noticed it has no hatch door. HTF do you ever repair anything inside? The door would total screw up the darth vader motif. Loving it. Dave |
