ive got a 1118-4 but somethings dont add up. the serial number is K353,paper new hartford lable, blue ovation logo and nothing else. does that seem odd? the bowl has a light texture and the top is a normal matched spruce top with a 70's style plastic rosette,it was renecked in canada with a bad copy of a ovation neck.....winged bridge that looks origianl...does this add up or is it just me being anal???? jason

Sounds normal for a cross-over (69-72) era GC12. I had a six string balladeer from that same era (serial K628) and it had the foil label. I think I lot of stuff just got built with whatever was around at the time. Dave
