I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the famous Magnum bass pickups were in fact designed and manufactured by Hagstrom of Sweden. Can anyone here confirm that?

The Magnum 1 I bought on eBay came in a black OHSC. Is this rare? I've only seen brown ones before.

Location: 6 String Ranch		Not true. Designed by Jim Rickard in Ct. Black would have been a later case.
