Just stopped by to say hi and introduce myself.

My name is John and although I am new here, I am no stranger to Ovation guitars.

A long time fan, I bought my first Ovation (a Balladeer...) back in the late 70's. From there I moved on to a Custom Balladeer, a Legend 12 string and after that, the Holy Grail for me... an Adamas model 1688-7 12 string (that I purchased new back in 1981). This purportedly was one of the first in Canada, with Alex Lifeson from local heroes, RUSH having the first. I later sold this guitar (a move I have regretted ever since...,) and that is what brings me back here today.

For years now I have been using a white Legend model 1756 (1992) 12 string in live shows and my recording projects and I recently purchased another Adamas (a model 1687-2 (1994) 6 string) as well as an Ovation model MM68 mandolin.

I would dearly love to lay my hands on another Adamas 12 string and if anybody here has one they would consider parting with... I'd love to hear from them...

Good to be here!!

John Pascoe

John, welcome aboard!

I'm sure you'll come across what you're looking for before too long. Post a 'wanted to buy' in the for sale section and you'll likely get some private email offers. That's how I picked up a great Adamas for my daughter's graduation gift.

Also, try contacting Alpep. He's a dealer (and part owner of this forum) who has a large revolving inventory.
