Nick out of a Neck

two bits Posted 2010-04-05 10:17 PM (#3738) Subject: Nick out of a Neck Joined: March 2010 Posts: 30 Location: New York City Greetings - How does one go about getting the nicks out of a neck of a recently bought used Ovation guitar? The dings are not deep but very noticable. All my other guitars are mint and, although it doesn't hinder the playing of the guitar, I want to smooth out the backside of the neck. Once I do that I want to give it a clear coat but not sure what to use to so so. Any ideas on both topics? Thanks in advance. I used fingernail polish. Sanding down to get it back flush with the old area is the tough part.
