Strip the neck and refinish with a face the same as the wood to be laminated over the skimmed down face. A Spalted Walnut or Koa would be cool. Have it so there is no PG on the front and do a string-thru body.
Route the back to accept the wiring, the pots and some active electronics. Include an angled battery holder so that you don't have to unscrew anything.
Maybe rummage through the trash at CT. and use some VXT guts...
