Location: SoCal | Here's a 1-2 year old Adamas where the epaulets have been taken off. It is just beautiful sans epaulets!
However, to complete the black motiff, the preamp needs to be replaced with an OP Pro or later, and the saddle needs to be replaced with a black one.

Location: Munich, Germany | I agree as well. A black nut won't be a problem, but to get a black Tru-Balance-Pickup would be hard. I have only seen black OCP-1's.
Changing the preamp is no problem. I have seperate OP-Pro's and Studios. But I have not tried already if they are switchable. Do they have the same cans/pins?

| That's one of the nicest Adamas' I've seen. I'd install custom chrome tuners and leave it alone. Very handsome instrument. Was that a factory issue or a customer's idea?.. |

Location: SoCal | Kurt, I'm fairly certain that you'll need a new can for the OP Pro. Check with customer service. They may also be able to provide you with a black saddle. I know they put one on a guitar that belongs to Clifford... |

Location: closely held secret | I'm with Moody on the preamp. The Pro and Studio should be interchangeable with each other, but not with the earlier model cans.
Email Kim or John and make sure. |

Location: closely held secret | Just wedge a screwdriver under them and pop them off. Be sure to use a hammer too. |
