Anyone, can you tell me the difference between the folklore 6774 and country artist 6773.
Basically, are they the same spec, but one with nylon strings and one with steel ? are the models string configurations interchangeable i.e. string artist with steel and folklore with nylon ? info appreciated.

they are braced differently for different tensions on the strings. you could put nylons on the steel but would sound dead... not enough tension to get the top moving. if you put steel on a nylon it might work, but I would bet you'd need to duck pretty quick after you hear tick..tickk.creak...sproing. the bridge flying loose might put out an eye.

I could be wrong tho... it's happened before.

i have steel strings on one of my clasical hohners, but i use 0.009 - 0.42 strings on it, and tension of those strings is similar to normal tension nylon strings.
but it doesn't sound well
