Q1: How do I upload pictures to my Photo Gallery?
A1: 1. Click on "Member Access" on the left side of your screen (if you don't see "member access", you need to click on the "Ovation Fan Club" link at the bottom of your screen, or type http://www.ovationfanclub.com in your browser).
2. Click on "Photo Gallery".
3. Click on "Gallery Utility".
4. Click on "Upload Photo".
5. Fill in the fields.
6. Pick the photo you want to upload (When you click "browse" you are looking at the files on YOUR computer).
7. Click "Upload".
NOTE: File size is limited to 100k. Larger images will be rejected. Maximum pixel width is 500. Images wider than 500 pixels and smaller than 100k in size will be resized.
Q2: How do I post pictures in a thread?
A2: The image needs to be hosted somewhere on the internet. Your OFC photo gallery qualifies.
1. Right click on the image you wish to post, choose 'copy image location'.
2. In the position in your post where you wish to place the image, type . (If using 'Full Reply Form" you can position the cursor and click on the "Image" button, then paste the image location in the box. This will insert the )
To get the location of an image in your gallery,
1. Go to your gallery.
2. Click on the thumbnail of the picture you want to post.
3. Right-click on the large version, choose "Copy Image Location".
Funny, I keep tellin' folks how to upload photos, but I still haven't done it myself yet. |

Location: New South Wales, Australia | Hey gulfcoast, I had a similar question a while ago and got plenty of help. Muzza's instructions seem to cover everything.
I only posted pics in the member access area but did have some problems due to their original size....more than the 100k that Muzza mentioned.
Computers still freak me out and I wasn't able to reduce the file size of my photos but was able to eventually solve the problem by emailing the pics to myself which automatically reduced the file size.
Good luck |

I hope you look good in a bikini, Gulfcoast. :D (then he think's... unless your firstborn is now a gorgeous 18 year old that loves pudgey middle aged men with an Aussie accent... Nah, send the picture.)
By the way, I can't take credit for writing the above instructions. I 'plagiarised' it from another thread, but can't remember who the original author is that I 'nicked' it off. I keep the text clipping on my desktop, and seem to use it every few weeks. |

the way you name your pictures files (before uploading) is important as well. Make sure you have proper extensions i.e. ".jpg" etc and no spaces or unusual characters like apostrophes and such.... |

Whatever happened to that? |
