I just bought a used CS 257 Celebrity Red. Super nice except for the cigarette smoke smell. It seems especially strong in the inside of the body. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome Ingrid! bobbo is correct. I have used Ozium and it works well. Spray lightly at first as I sprayed my guitar a little to much 2 yrs and I smelled it for a few months!!
If your case smells like Cigarette smoke spray the Ozium in the case, close the case for a few days and the smell should be gone.

I've had good success with putting a few tablespoons of ground coffee (fresh ground, not used!) in a paper bag, put inside the case with guitar for a few days, smells gone. Apparently coffee soaks up other odors.
And your left with a guitar that'll pick you up in the morning!

We have one of those air purifiers that makes Ozone and costs hundreds of dollars. I put it right up to the soundhole and let it run for a few days. Same with the case. The small disappears.

If you want to start with something you might already have, try putting a dryer fabric softener sheet inside the guitar and case. Don't put the sheet in a spot where it could stick to the finish of the guitar or the label inside. The dryer sheet probably isn't as effective as the Ozium but it will neutralize some odor.

I don't think I'll go the smoking route to get rid of the tobacco smell. I don't have the Ozium or the dryer sheet, but I do have fresh ground coffee and a paper bag. If that doesn't work I'll start looking for the Ozium. Thanks for all the help.

The coffee grounds worked! I put the fresh ground coffee into a paper envelope and sealed it up with scotch tape. I took the cover off of the back and put in the envelope. After 24 hours, the smell is gone. Yeah!

ozium is the greatest stuff on the planet. Spray it on my clothes after golfing so the wife doesn't smell the cigar smoke on my clothes. And drink coffee to get it off my breath :D
