Things are going well. The hole for the preamp is PERFECT! All it took was patience...and a cordless dremel...and a little skill...and nerve.

I'm working on the dual output now. I have the 2 holes drilled for the jacks. Now I have to figure out how to find the placement of the 2 little screw holes. This may be a no-brainer for some of you, but I can't figure out how to do it. HELP please.

Congrats, John!
I got my initial marks for placement by holding it up to the holes on the inside and eyeballing the position relative to the hole, then I measured off the center of the XLR jack for the actual distance to where the screws go. Does that make any sense?

It's hard to eyeball much. This is such a little guitar to work on.

But my wife just came home; she's the analytical/mathematical person in the home. I'll see if I can "give" this little problem to her.

I really admire you guys that can do this type of work. I don't have the nerve...much less the tools for it.

Take some paper and trace the dimensions/placements of the preamp screw holes, then transfer to the bowl but remember to consider any bowl rounding. Good luck!

john, rember that the xlr & 1/4 are at a slight angle from one another.....if i can find my calipers ill measure the distance from center of the screw hole to the center of the 1/4 and that should give the corect placement...ill run out ot the shop and look for my calipers jason
