Location: Ohio | Am looking to pickup up a Trekker, and found one today at a pawn shop today. Usual overpricing, but it has two small finish cracks aligned with the bridge pins, or whatever you call what's under the white dots. Obviously stress cracks, but question is whether this is a) a concern for general travel/playing, and b) can the bridge be reinforced underneath to prevent further stressing? Since this investment is for traveling, not overly concerned with resale, value, or anything else besides structural integrity over time.
I mocked up a photo to indicate (red lines) where these glaze cracks are. Can't see any lifting of the bridge, so looks like either minor stress, or perhaps just starting?

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | Finish cracks can be stabilized by cleaning with naptha, then applying some thin stew-mac glue #10. After the glue dries rub down with meguire's x.
As to whether they are potential cracks in the wood, I can't tell unless actually seeing it. Sorry. | |
