Last year I flew to the tour. I took the Millenium. I was planning on carrying on the guitar, but they made me check it. I told the ticket agent I was allowed to carry it on (if it was ok with the flight crew), but no luck. I was pretty nervous not having it in the cabin with me. I didn't buy any extra insurance and I'm sure that American Airlines wouldn't have paid to replace it had they damaged it.

So this year I am exploring other options. I know I can ship the guitar before hand. Do I ship it to the hotel? To the factory?

Or, do I buy travel insurance for the guitar? Where does one get travel insurance?

How are you getting your guitar there? (You are gonna be there, right?)

Send 'em to me two weeks ahead of time and I will personally ferry them in for you. :D
p.s. .. Due the the fact that they will pass back & forth thru Canada, there is an obscure quarintine law that requires the intruments to stay with me for no less than three weeks after the fact.
