Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Have you ever sold off one of your guitars, and wish that you had it today. I sold a Fender 1965 powder blue Jaguar, many years ago that I didn't like then, that I wish I still had. Sad part was I let it go for chump change, because at the time I was hungry for Gibsons. Ever been through this? |

Location: CA | My first electric that I bought myself at age 17 was an ORIGINAL 62 or 63 Fender Strat with a blonde neck. Paid $150, and was happy to sell it for the same about three years later. When I first started eBaying a few years ago, I saw a perfect almost unused '62 go for $6,000. It even had the same tan case as mine. Sigh... |

Location: ms | My 1'st Elite 1868-4. It didn't sound that good but it played great. I had it back in 1993 and i wrote at least 50 songs on that guitar. I tried to buy it back many times back then and even bought a couple more over the years but they never were the same. Funny thing last week i ran into the guy i sold it to and he offered it back to me but he wants too much, and i think the magic's gone. |

Location: Orlando, FL | Guild F45 CE Flamed Maple top and sides. Sounded great played great. Bought it in 87. Sold it when I needed cash about 10 years ago. I have never seen one like it since - and I have searched - often.
Ibanez Flying V - lawsuit model. My first rock and roll guitar. I sold it the same week I sold the guild. 2 years ago I found the same guitar on eBay, not one like it - the same one. It cost me alot more than I paid for it plus what I sold it for. I have never regreted that repurchase.
Now, if I could only get that guild back! |

Cool little switch on the back that made a Middle C humm so the whole band could be in tune. (A rare thing at the time, being in tune that is)
Had the family sell it, along with my bass, to finance staying in Europe a little while longer. I should have spent more time busking and kept the amp. |

Location: Orlando, FL | Hey fillhixx, I also got rid of a vox bass amp with the 1 note tuner, I can't remember if it was the Essex or not. It also had a metal handle and wheels. Of course I sold that around the same time as my guitars. |

But I might be the only one on the board who can say that he has never, in 36 years, sold off even one of his Ovations. |

Location: Ohio | Traded a '69 Strat in '70 for a '67 Gibson ES-335 with a Bigsby. If I had both now, I'd be a whole lot richer. Of course, I would have had good reasons along the way to sell them off at least a dozen times before the market got to where it is.
Can't look back...only look forward. And cry sometimes. ;) |

I have regretted selling so many, that I finally decided that, from now on, I will be a buyer, not a seller. |

Considering how much these items have appreciated in value, Ive recently decided I will no longer sell any equipment. |

I regret selling my mid-60's Princeton Reverb amp in order to help fund a new Kustom Lead with 4x10 in about 1976. I regret selling that one too, but food for the babies and rent were calling.
I also wish I still had my 1961 Porsche 356B Super. :( |
