Location: Boise Idaho | This year marks my 25th anniversary with my 1st Ovation. She’s a Balladeer Model 1112 who has served me well through my tour in the Corps, drunken single years in the 80s, drunken married years in the 90s, boring sober years in the 2K, etc… Anyways she is due for an extreme makeover and I’d like to send her back to the mother ship for some much deserved TLC. I’m sure it will probably cost 3 or 4 times what I originally paid for her but that’s okay… Is Kim still the one to contact at the mother ship for this? If so, what is the full email address?
Thanks in advance for your help with this! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Yes, Dave. I have tried to PM you a couple times to get together, since I couldn't believe there were 2 OFC members in Boise. Obviously, you have a life and don't spend all your time on this board like I do.
My first Ovation celebrates our 30th this year, as do we. Send me an email and let's get together. I'll bring whatever I can fit in the Honda. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | We've made contact! I think that makes 3 of us in Idaho, but we haven't heard from tdeej in awhile.
I'm guessing from his nice collection that Dave knows how to play those electrics a lot better than I do, but as I told him, I'm a good listener. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I wouldn't go too crazy with the makeover, guitars with scars are more interesting than a new looking one. Spend all that money on a second one it you want something newish. |

Location: NJ | Just have 'em re-fret it and give it a quick once-over (that's what I did for 1612's 30th, last year).
They do a GREAT job, and it'll play/feel/sound like a new guitar! . . . |

Location: Up North | Dave, Just tell everyone you had the factory "Relic" it for you. Just kidding, I can't believe people pay extra for someone else to beat up their guitar.
Nothing looks better than a guitar that has been played, every scar tells a story.
Dave, I just noticed, you joined the OFC right after me!! Cool. |
