Location: Paris/France | Ok Brad,
I proudly announce that I'll be there and you can't imagine how I'm happy and affraid at the same time!!!
I'm happy because:
I'll meet you all
I'll see Dave again
I'll visit the factory
I'll visit NYC before the tour
Etc...
So, in simple words, I'm going to realize one of my sweetest dream.
Why I'm affraid??
Because I'm a poor guitar player...
It's worst with a ukulele in hands...
I'll have to speak in English and it's not my greatest talent (you already knows that fact)...
I'll speak with Jason and it's already so hard to understand what he writes to me (it's a joke my friend)... :D :D :D
Because I'm not sure to want to go back in france after the the election of our next president!!! ;)
By anyway, I'll be there and it's a a real privilege for me to be a small part of this great event.
Thanks
J :) |

And hey, they speak French there...
...sort of. |

Location: Montreal, Canada | I guess i qualify as a newbie. It will be my first time down but i only got my first O back in November !!
I'll bring a friend of mine along for the ride, he's a big Fender fan but was really impressed with the 1778LX when he tried it.... :)
And i'll bring some "real" beer along for the ride. Should make it to the hotel around 6 PM thursday night. I'm really looking forward to meet a lot of you and try some other O's and especially some A's since i had to pass up on Stephent28's UTE....i'm still pissed about it, but i have to finish the bathroom's plumbing before the lady lets me go !!
Can't wait to be there,
Yves |

I'm looking forward to meeting people, trying out tons of guitars, and watching the Ovation and Hamer magicians turn piles of raw materials into amazing instruments.
My Redwood is at the mothership for spot removal... I was tardy in sending it in, so not sure if it will be playable by the time we get there...
Expectations? I expect the guys sitting next to me on the plane will have spent half as much as I did for their tickets.
Fears? acute GAS, of course! |

Yves Please explain the ROC to those attending as best you can. I understand that you do not comprehend the end of Canada at the Rocky Mountains.... let alone Vancouver Island. |

Location: Hicksville, NY | Hello Yves. I used to reside and attend college just south of the border from you. I frequented Montreal a lot back then, cos it was a heck of a lot closer than NYC, "big" city-wise. I still remember how fun it was to get lost there, and whenever that happens, I just do the best I can to find my way back to the intersection of University and Renee-Levesque ... then I know I'm not lost anymore :D
My wife and I went to Vancouver Island for our honeymoon, and have visited the Butchart Gardens among many things. What is the ROC? |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Yes, its my first time: I am thankful for:
1. My dear wife allowing me to attend even thought she is staying home with our two children 4 1/2 and 4 months;
2. for being able to get an afordable rate for my flight;
3. being able to meet all the folks I've sort of come to know over the past several months (even though I have been a member for years, I just started posting several months ago);
4. For the Ovation Factory and Kaman Corp. for putting their fine instruments into the hands of the worlds players for all these years;
5. God for giving me the ability and patience to learn a skill that has paid the bills and been my constant companion for 40 years now this month

Probably as much fun as it has been for us Yanks to teach the Brits how to speak Anglish!
As an acclimated native of Worshington State I feel overly qualified to moderate.
Y'all are going to have a wonderful time bonding with each other. Everyone should come away with a better sense of community and an appreciation that we all don't live in the same town! |

I'm afraid T28 will show up with the palm tree uke and I'll buy it back. Wait, no, I'm not afraid of that. I'm afraid that SWMBO will take a couple of rounds out of me if I come home with anything more than I left with. ;) |
