Location: Waurika OK | On June 1 Heart will be in OKC. That's 100 miles from here, tickets are $35. I go up there often so the 100 miles is not a problem, but a 200 mile round trip is not what I want to do if the show is not worth it.
Anyone have any comments? |

Oh, and did I mention she plays a mean guitar?
As far as Ann goes, her pipes, if anything, are even better than before. If her, uh, excess avoirdupois bothers you, just close your eyes, listen to that incredible voice, and imagine the Bebe Le Strange album cover! ;) |

But she do have a great voice. All that lung volume probably helps. |

Location: Indiana | If you have doubts, get a copy of the DVD "Alive in Seattle". Then go to the concert. I hope they come to Indiana! And not on a weekend.

What say we meet somewhere up there?
I usually attend concerts in the city with my son who lives in Yukon, but he will be out of town that night.
Been thinking about an OK jam. There are a couple of more guys in that area, one in Edmond Tom? and one in Norman Mike?. |

Just pick the one that's the closest...

Location: Up North | I saw them last summer, about half their set was Led Zeppelin covers, which they did very well, but they have plenty of their own great material that could have been played instead.
I guess you get tired of playing your own stuff after a few decades.
They still rocked, no Ovations in sight though. |

Blue Ash Sports Center is a funky place. One of the attractions is a full-sized mock-up of Crosley Field, the Cincinnati Reds' ball park until 1970. They have the original scoreboard with all the scores and numbers just as they were when the last out was recorded. They also have the original outfield walls, a dugout, and several rows of the original seats. The field is actual size (of course the grandstands aren't reproduced). They tore down Crosley Field in 1970 and built an ugly multipurpose stadium shaped like an inner tube for the Reds and (at that time) our alleged football team, the Bengals (whose first name in those days was "Hapless").
Then four years ago they tore down the inner tube and built a baseball field that looks like....Crosley Field.
Go figure.
Anyway, it'd be interesting to see Heart out there. |
