Location: Whitecourt, Ab | I have an issue with the neck on my newest adoptee, and need some help/advice from someone in the know.
The issue isn't really with the neck so much as with where the neck joins the body there is a hump under the fret board. I tried to catch it in a pic, but my limited photographic skills minimize the issue. There are 2 bolts in side where the neck bolts to the body. I loosened them off and put some temporary shims inbetween the neck and body and played with the truss rod to get the neck straight as an arrow. To my dismay when I restrung the guitar I could put my fingers under the strings at the 15th fret.
The top is straight, and the braces appear to be okay, but it appears as though there is a shim, or something under the fretboard where it is glued to the top. "> ">
I love the look and feel of this guitar, and it sounds amazing plugged in, but acoustically it falls flat, and doesn't ring out like I believe it should. A trip to the Mothership is probably
in the cards unless someone has a solution I
can try. Ed |

Location: Boise, Idaho | My 87 has the same problem, but not quite as bad. Does it buzz at about the 16th fret? If not, and you don't play that high up the neck, then the only issue is the sound. If you don't like the acoustic sound, you probably should get something you like better. |

Send it to the mothership and have the neck reseteted.
I had the same with two of my guitars the mothership will fix it.
Best regards, Kurt |

Location: Whitecourt, Ab | Thanks for the advice. I believe you are right "Muzza".
All the strings buzz at upper frets, Mark.
Any idea how much for a neck reset, or can someone tell me the proper procedure/contact name or # for an overhaul? Thanks, Ed |
