Location: Milano, ITALY | Hi! A few years ago I bought this gold top Adamas . It's a non cut and the label says "Custom Guitar - 050494 - Custom made for Bill Kaman". Ovation customer care says that "The serial points to an instrument that was built in 1994 for Mr. Kaman, it more than likely came out of the engineering department as a sample". Anybody knows about it? |

I bought the guitar in US a few years ago, but can't remember the dealer (I got myself quite a few toys in the last 20 years), might be Dave's Guitar Shop.
It's an Adamas I with genuine graphite top, OP24 and the best neck I have ever had on an Ovation, thin and perfect, with a fantastic action. You bet it's been made for the boss himself.
It's not the only special Adamas I have. The very recent companions are the Blue Boy and a very nice Adamas III. I'll try to post a few pictures soon for you guys. |

Yup. That's the top I want. Excellent choice of color, Bill. Was there lots of gold flecks on the bowl?
I tried to talk Al into the gold top for the OFC guitar ... but I was a majority of one. :( |

I've put the "lady s" and "grams s" on a flight that arrives in DC at about 10pm on Friday night. hehehe ... wonder how THAT happened. Now working through the BDL->DCA thing for me. |
