Location: big island | i have always enjoyed this great and heartfelt song by elvis. some video editors worked a little simple "magic" and created a duet with elvis and celine dion. this was featured on american idol last week. celine was born in 1968, the year elvis recorded this on his "Comeback" TV special.
some of you may enjoy this if you have not yet seen it:

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Thanks for posting this link Randy...the process is called Rotoscoping and is phenominal...not to mention very expensive...but nothing is beyond Idol I guess...The song and the preformance are fantastic...really good stuff! I was really glad to have a chance to watch it again! BTW, I'm really looking forward to Ashville!
Blessings my friend! |

Location: big island | there is also another clip on youtube where a couple video editors dissect and explain the process of how this was done. i was not necessarily in awe of the technique as much as i was in the fact that this elvis song was "resurrected" and celine was involved in the project. the duet version of the song can easily stand on its own merit, without the visuals. |

"We've already apologized for Bryan Adams"

Location: big island | so true, professor. and in more ways than one. we witness alot of sensational photographs being shuffled all over the internet, most of them products of photoshopping. and then see something like what was shown on the rap music thread and can't believe what we are seeing there either.
dylan had it right. "the times, they are a changing"
and it certainly ain't for the better.
for me, i am secure in knowing there is a Way, a Truth and a Life.
these are the very things that elvis sings about in this song, "if i can dream". |
