I have a model 1867 with the OP40 control module. Inside the bridge pickup The plus plate has come loose from the cable wires. Is this and the holder suppose to be soldered to the two cable wires or are they just suppose to contact them ? If so what gets soldered where ?
Thank you This is my first post.

Where are all the mods?

Welcome. I'm not sure you can effectively re-connect the wires to the piezo pickup assembly once they're broken. If you contact Ovation Customer Service at 860-379-7575, ext. 120 or 125 they can send you a new pickup for a nominal charge. I've replaced a few in my guitars and it's no big deal.

Repair to broken or severed wires in a Piezo pickup CAN be dne but it will be a difficult process without much assurance.

I second the customer Service contact to obtain a new unit. They show up on Ebay frequently as well.
