just an update and photo..

so... what do you think of the ghost birds? they were dusted in with a stencil..using the same flake as on the body.. one more overlay with a finer cut stencil in just chrome/blue flake to bring the lines out better.. then last clearcote..

I have an old bakelite bullet knob for the blender where the 3-way was..and will not cover the dove and vintage witch hats and pointers for the vol/tones

still winning the UK pickups on the bay.. I have a more than fair max bid on them so if they go south will just go ahead with the filtertrons..

Thanks,

Glenn

Just a glimmer and a glimpse of the birds, huh?
Very nice.

To add to what CL said... You should put step-by-step photos in your gallery.
That would be cool.

Thanks guys.. again I've been really, really careful in keeping the paint coats thin and sanding and polishing them back..

and compared to the factory finish on the red viper body that I just got from you Mike... is only about 1/3 to maybe 1/2 as thick as that now...and that's gonna be about 10/11 coats total on it when done..including primer and filler, with the original finish on the uk body sanded back as well so I hope I haven't killed the tone too badly.

CL don't you have a 12 that's just about ready too?

I'm still undecided on the knobs... everything else is done... just has to be soldered and snugged up, will be putting the harness in and together today, mojo tone lp harness with .033s and treble bleeds, to a 500k blender, just mono out right now.. but will wire it stereo as well as soon as someone can send me a schematic..

making the cav covers out of abs sheet, used the one's on Al's UK for template so should be ok..

I have gibby witch hats and pointers, Ric stove knobs, or the old bakelites on it now.. but just cosmetics.. may have to shorten the bills on the long-beaked chickenheads if I'm gonna use them tho..

Howie's gonna patch in the missing binding on the neck that Brett busted off when he does the set-up and intonation on it for me. all the screws are stainless, and nickel straplocs..

I figure at least a few more weeks, lots happening with Char, tests, her disability, medicare, the new baby, and the one on the way...her admission for surgery is still set for the 15th..

we did get to go over to Sea World for a couple of days... boy are people rude to you if you're on one of those handicapped electric scooters, she had one the first day and had a rough time with the people ignoring her, or cutting her off.. etc...

so I rented one the second day, we both had one...
I ran blocker for her... was a blast... :D
