Location: Upper Left USA | Next project is a spalted Maple faced Viper. Here's a couple of layout possibilities.
Enjoy
Probably go with another Tun-o-matic piezo bridge and a pair of hot pups. |

wow, that's kind of scary after 11pm. You've kind of got some sort of dracula/goblin-type face in there if you look really hard... |

| how thick is that facing? veneer? I really like the top one, flows nice through the bridge area, shame to cover it with a pickguard tho.. too bad it's not a cap.. could backroute it for the control cav then.
go with the piezo bridge and something sweet/clean at the neck for your jazzy moments.. or two nice hums of your choice and crunchiness.. mix it all up, and season/blend to taste.
looks good woody.

Location: South of most, North of few | Top one looks really nice. You could use one of those removable clear pickguards and retain the beauty of the grain. Kind of like that one on the Adamas that always turns yellow after 10 years or so, but removable. |

Those pieces are about 1/2" thick so I could end up with two bookmatched sets. The plan for now is to top a 4 board Maple Viper (with issues) and not use a pickguard. Access through the back and volume, tone, Piezo/mag blend, mag blend and output coming though the top. I may even finda Mahogany slab to chamber and sandwich between.
We'll see what comes together. |

| shoot the body with issues through a planer and cap both sides, route the edges a little, faux binding.. that would be sweet.
