The other post on bridge pins got me thinking ...

My CA1624 (made in 1976) has enlarged bridge string holes caused by years (of happy) use.

In lieu of getting a new bridge I was thinking of temporarly using glass beads (running the strings thru the beads to make the hole smaller and lower to give a greater break angle on the outside part of the bridge) to hold the string on more securely.

I was wondering if anyone here has confronted a similar problem with their ovation classicals.

Any info, books or websites would be much appreciated.

You may scoff, but something like string tubes may be the answer. I wish that Standing O guy would make them again.
