| I have my own copy thank you very much and I'm too much of a gentleman to part with a gift from my French friend. |

Location: Bluffton, SC | One of the things I never got around to watching (completely). I was hoping to catch back up with it at some point. The fact that I get to annoy you with having to mail something else to me is a bonus. Should've mailed it up with the Rory dvd. :p
(Yeah, I know, I know...you can put that finger away now...) |

Location: Bluffton, SC | JW - shoot it over to Mike first if it's not already in the envelope and sealed. And, if it is, send it to Mike anyway. And, Mike, if you want to send it to Fred or wherever, that's fine too. I'll get in line for being such a PITA. |

I'm so glad to know that Marcel's music continues to travel all around the world.
He was so good with a guitar in hands and he was the greatest ambassador of Ovation in France and maybe in europe.
Even if the end of the story with Ovation is not the greatest best of that story...

My friend, I would love to be able to have it; having owned one before, I know how beautiful these sound and play...I am in the middle of funding a #47 RI and that puts everything else on the back burner...But to OFC members: if you're looking for a great 12 string, you can't do better than the 1759-5 for shear beauty, tone and playability...and the price is right! what are you all waiting for...these don't come around too often (even though there has been a rash of them lately..its just a fluke)...

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I have to share this: I have a s1x month old son; last night (and for the past couple of days) he has cried nearly without ceasing...(those fathers here can remember these times I am sure)...well, nothing seemed to work...so I sat down at the computer with him in my arms and started the Marcel Dadi DVD...folks, he immediately stopped crying and for the next 30 minutes watched the video in utter fascination! No before you wisecrackers open up about this, I think it is a testament to how great this music is and also the beauty of the guitars played (including the Adamas Slothead of Dadi) that even an infant can be mesmerized by the wonder of music! It is a fantastic concert and I am sure the Documentary is just as good but alas, I don't speak French!
Well, the DVD is available for sending to the next willing participant: who gets it? Pm me with an address! I'll get it right out!
Thanks again Jeff! What a great video...what a great talent...what a great loss for music!

Location: big island | i am ready to send this marcel dadi/jean-felix lalanne dvd on to the first responder.
it is superb. i am delighted to have seen it and gotten a bit of insight into the man behind the legend. even if it is in french! my daughter, katy, who now lives with us, took three years of french in high school and was able to decipher some of the dialogue. the interactions between marcel and jean-felix are priceless.
who's up, next? |
