( Living or Deceased )
What would your lineup be ?
In what order would they play ?
Would it be an indoor event or outdoor?
This one is going to take some real thought.GWB

1. B.B. King
2. Jeff Beck with Rod Stuart
3. Cream
Outdoors with today's sound systems.
Now that would be awesome.

I'd opt for something like this:
George Harrison
Robert Johnson

I would want to see:
1) Stevie Ray Vaughn - I saw him once and have the ticket stub to prove it - but have absolutely no memory of it whatsoever! I would want to see him indoors in a small club setting.
2) Pink Floyd - probably the one band that I've always wanted to see but never have. They would be indoors in an arena setting - need room for the flying pigs!
3) Springsteen and the E Street Band - I would get to pick the songs though - pretty much anywhere.
The runners up - and pretty much a toss-up with #3 are Joe Jackson, The Who, TransSiberian Orchestra and Yes. |

Pauly Pauly, I went to HOG's 20th Anniversary private party in 2003 in Wisconsin at the fairgrounds north of the city where, believe it or not, Jeff Beck opened for BB King. BB King was late by an hour, so Jeff Beck continued to play. I think he had a drummer and bass, but nobody paid them much attention. After two full hours of Beck, BB King pulls up in his big black motorhome, parks right alongside the stage, jumps out with guitar in hand, walks up onto the stage, sits downs, then plays non-stop for the next three hours. It ended up being about a five hour concert. By the end, there were maybe only 200 folks left on the grass, and about a dozen of us went up and shook his hand afterwards. What a blast. |

Here is my WHO-less list. I bet ya didn't think I could do that.
Man.. so many shows through the years. I picked the two opening acts on the basis of just having a plain old good time.
Let's open up with "The Presidents of the United States of America". "Peaches", "Dune Buggy", "Lump", ... one of the most fun, high enery concerts I have ever been to.
Filling the #2 spot is the hardest. Seger? Yes? Tull? Zepplin? Rod Stewert?
Based on just having a good time, I'll go with Alice Cooper (circa 1972). High energy... good tunes.. classic showmanship. A true inovator.
For the main act... who else.. The Beatles (from the Apple rooftop concert era.
Oh oh!!! I just thought of something.
I would have all 3 band each cover 4 WHO tunes.
There ya go.
Life is good. |

See above.
Would it be an indoor event or outdoor?
Indoor, small venue
This one is going to take some real thought.

Next up would be Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The main act would be the Doobie Brothers (1970s lineup - pre McDonald)
Or, if I was feelin like somethin' a little rockier...
AC/DC, followed by The Cult with the Black Crowes to close the show.
... and the venue? My back verandah. |
