Hi All.
I have recently aquired a Deacon 6 string. The electronics and switches seem to function other than the volume control, it appears to be full noise. There seems to be a very slight change only when turning the knob and more to tone than volume. The only way I can control the volume is with the amp.
I have checked the batteries and the fit of the knob on the spline, all ok.
I am assuming the pot is faulty. But not being familiar with the active electronics I thought I'd ask for some advice before I pulling it to bits. Thanks James.

Sounds like the ground side of the control has gone bad or the solder joint on the board has broken loose.

If you need the schematic there are some in my gallery.

Thanks Bru for the tip, I was thinking along those lines but didn't want to rush in headlong if it was perhaps something simple. I'm not one for dismantling things unnecessarily.
I do have a schematic for it. Cheers mate.

It's not that hard. Right now I've got two bedrooms all torn apart and several guitar projects under cardboard until I finish something. The garage is full of items for tomorrow's yard sale and I can't find my cappo.
