Or to rephrase... What should I NOT clean it with?
I just got a new computer, and I still haven't figured-out how to program my VCR! |

Kinda figgert that, but they are always trying sell crap for cleaning screens, so I wanted to be cautious.
Hate to destroy my expensive-new-toy.
Same crap I use on the old CRT. Thank-You-Very-Much! |

Location: Rego Park, NY, | I found a lcd screen cleaner made by Monster Cable at BestBuy. Monster Screen Cleaner 6.76 ounces(200ml) and microfiber cloth $19.95. I almost bought another brand that was only 2 ounces that was 12.95 w/o the microfiber cloth. The Monster screen cleaner didn't have a price on it. I brought it up to the register and was told that it was $19.95. Sold!! I used it on the laptop, projection tv and my son's Sony PSP. Works great.

Location: Midland, MI | I wouldn't use Windex. I've always used a (very) soft cloth, dampened with warm water. I have never had a problem removing fingerprints with that combination, and it hasn't scratched anything yet...not even the high-gloss (ick!) surface on my current laptop. |

Location: SE Michigan | I use windex and a paper towel, never had a problem, been doing it for years. I apply the windex to the paper towel and do not spray it directly on the screen to avoid soaking the PC (I have lap tops). Works fine for me. But then again I use windex to get the crud off my guitars as well, which I know is blashphemy to many of you. |
