Location: Upper Left USA | Over the last month or so what used to be the Music-a-toreum and two other bedrooms have been under reconstruction. I do well at the "take-it-apart" phase, it's the finishing that takes so dang long!
Most everything is cased or stacked so I'm motivated to finish something so that I can get back to enjoying and building.
Here's some of the before pics:
...and some during:
Here is the Room formerly known as my Guitar Room. It will be my wife's "Quiet Room".
It only took me 10 minutes to figure out the timed shutter on the camera...
Glenn and Andrew both have projects they've sent or will send me so I hope to have the Music Room (was two bedrooms) functional although floorless in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy
BTW - Keep thinking calendar... |

Wait, wait... hold on a minute here. Let me get this straight. You will have your own room somewhere for your guitar stuff, right?? |

When we first bought this house, we did an addition and one of the things I was sure to include was a quiet room for my wife... let me tell you - that bought me a lot of leeway on the rest of it! She's got her own fireplace - pink granite surround - two recliners and all of here chotchkes. The fireplace is double-sided. The other side is my office/music room. My side of the fireplace has a cherry surround with black/dark green surround.
Your music room sounds like it's going to be pretty cool! Can't wait to see the finished product. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | Nice wall treatment behind the black bench. My bandroom is an old pool room down in the basement that I used as a dance studio for 15 years before converting it to a guitar studio. My wife's "quiet space" is three floors higher on the third floor. If she could have her way, it would be at least another three floors higher than that, if we had the floors. |

Weez - you Wife is welcome...
The paint is a "Dutch Boy" (shut up Witko!) 'brushed suede' where you roll on the first layer and then brush in (with X strokes) the second layer. Wasn't that tough.
Should end up with Hide-a-beds in both rooms so y'all let me know when your in the area!
Maybe a NW OFC Summer Jam next year... |

So...this explains why nobody's heard from Woody for a while...very nice work, Mike. You're forgiven for not messaging me back. ;)
That reminds me - holler at me before you do anything major surgically on the PD...I might have other ideas by then. |

I got your Text message Andrew, it just wears me out to try and type a response. I like to double check with Clients (sounds professional) prior to ripping anything apart.
I like the photo of the couch and the Ovation - it says "Therapy" all over it. |

Weas, is this your new mail order wife from Bangkok? Unfortunately not, Paul. Had to back out on that - the handling charges were acceptable but there was no insurance! |

Instead of the 20' by 11' room - which will now be a Media/TV/Sitting/Bunk house - I get the downstairs 24' by 24' connected to the garage.
It should be a great workshop and jam room!
I got to finish a Viper, Clean up an Applesauce Bass and restring a 12.
On the Viper - One piece Mahogany body, Maple Neck, Artec Pups with 10.5 Bridge and 6.5 Neck, 250K pots and a Blender. It sounds really Viper like!
I got a Med set of Blue Steel cryos and ran with a .013 to .052 for a heavy Bluesy feel.
I could use a Viper case if there are any out there??
Also interested in trades or sales.
Much potential and a lot of work ahead.

Just be careful that "your" space does not become the clutter magnet of the house.
For instance... the Christmas Tree.
Love that Viper.
Love those knobs. |

Location: Upper Left USA | The Xmas Tree is going back under the stairs soon. That room is the clutter-chamber and part of my challenge is to remove much of it.
I'll be cobating the paneling, the gas stove, the storage issues and the furnace but in time I think I can pull off a balance between useful and not hard to look at.
Yesterday was completing the Knock-down texture in the 20' by 11'. |

The Blue Cats are courtesy of Ebay searches over the years. |

Just go ahead and put up the Christmas Tree. Be the first on your street. :D
BTW; It would look cool with a couple of guitars sitting under it. |

Maybe a little "While You Were Out" episode.
I'm serious considering the Sitka Spruce flooring. |
