Well, the plinker in me is just fascinated by the whole idea. I'd love to try one; I wish I played well enough to do it justice, though. (So, all you factory folk who lurk here....where's ours????)

Wow, if I could play mandolin worth a damn I would buy one of those babies!

Wish they had posted some pics of the various "sunburst" finishes. That would be interesting to see.

Very cool looking and even on laptop speakers a really clear bell-like sound.
al should sell these. Do you think they'd make a bouzouki?

I wish you hadn't posted this here. I know where there is a 5. Never gave it a thought till this. It even has a pickup in it.
It's at Cotten's, somebody go buy it so I won't.

I had a mando made with an Adamas top once, wasn't overly special as I recall. It fell be the way side early on.

and well too.

Jeff........
I asked Kim Sherman if this sounded more like a mandolin that a rainsong sounded like a guitar.
Waiting for the reply. She did say that this is the second one they've had and the first was so/so. This one is really pretty good.

The website sound clips sounded darn good (I know, I know). Do post when you hear a reply, Bill. Pretty as it is... if the sound ain't there... it's like dressing a Crack Whore in Armani.

Now that's attractive.....NOT

She said it does sound more like a mando than a rainsong sounds like a guitar. Hummmmmm.
Then there's the blond Collings M-5 that never gets played and the tricone style 2 and the book.
Gotta think about this one.
