Location: Phoenix AZ | For the Matt Smith clinic next March I'm planning to come a few days early. On Thursday if anyone would be interested in golfing, I'd definately be up for it. Last year it looked like some mighty fine courses around there. I'm no pro, my golfing is about like my guitar playing, but it would be fun. The first annual OFC Golf Outing! Anyway, I just wanted to mention it now because folks are probably starting to make travel reservations.

Location: Michigan | No golf for me anymore, after taking an embarrasing 15 strokes on a hole where you had to shoot it up the elephants trunk and it goes around inside of him and pops out his ass onto the green I quit the game, But I will tell you that I did get a hole in one on the one you shoot at the clowns mouth when it is opening and closing .
Make sure before you go that you have your wives or girlfreinds or (boyfreinds) kiss your balls the night before you leave for good luck and to help your putter shaft stay rigid. Hope all who do golf do well.GWB |

Actually, I carried an 18-handicap for 15 years, and went back to tennis. Stood on the wrong side of the ball, or so I'm told.
Enjoy the outing! |

Pretty good for a game that started-out with poor folks, a stick, and alot of open spaces and free time.
I like the windmill.
Enjoy! |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I played golf when I was in the service and for a while thereafter, but it was just too slow and inactive for me. I think I broke 90 at Griffith Park one time which was the best I ever did. My brother is about a five handicap and makes me look silly. Then again, I own him in the downhill. |

Location: NJ | Okay, . . “Golf”.
Probably the only thing that I’m WORSE at than golf is keeping my mouth shut.
For years, I had despised the game as a stuffy, eliteist, waste of time reserved for our SalesDept. “outings” while the rest of us had to work.
I had somewhat softened my view of the game with the advent of films like “Dead, Solid, Perfect”, “Tin Cup”, and “Bagger Vance” . . .
I’ve played TWICE in my life (once about ten years ago, once about a month ago). Nine holes both times, and both times I started t’get the
“hang” of it on the last hole . . .
(the last go-round, it was discovered that I do better with a 6-Iron than I do with a Driver – a recent trip to the driving range confirmed that)
I CAN attest that the few times that I hit a really nice shot made me realize ". . THIS is what the "buzz" of this game is!! . ." Felt good!
I’ve never taken an official “lesson” and I don’t own any clubs . . .
(I take that back – I own one 9-Iron – it was left in our townhouse by the previous owner, and I use it to fire ping-pong balls across the living
room that our cat catches in mid-air).
I’d be REAL interested in participating, but I don’t wanna be a hindrance/burden to anyone.
If it turns out an extra person’s needed t’round out the numbers, I’m willing.
My friend Cheryl lives not too far from there, and she can loan me a set o’clubs, and having a “goal” like this gives me the excuse to go
to the driving range . . . .
(Worse comes to worse . . . I can take pictures . . .) |

Location: NJ | And THEN there's:
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Bill Murray could face a drunken driving charge after cruising through downtown Stockholm in a golf cart and refusing to take a breath test, citing U.S. law.
Police officers spotted the 56-year-old actor-comedian early Sunday in the slow-moving vehicle and noticed he smelled of alcohol when they pulled him over, said Detective-Inspector Christer Holmlund of the Stockholm police.
"He refused to blow in the (breath test) instrument, citing American legislation," Holmlund told The Associated Press on Wednesday. "So we applied the old method — a blood test. It will take 14 days before the results are in."
Murray, who had been at a golf tournament in Sweden, signed a document admitting that he was driving under the influence, and agreed to let a police officer plead guilty for him if the case goes to court, Holmlund said.
"Then he was let go. My guess is he went back to America," Holmlund said.
He said Murray would only be charged if tests show his blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit, which is quite low in Sweden.
A very high alcohol level could lead to a prison sentence, but Holmlund said fines were more likely.
"There were no obvious signs, like when someone is really tipsy," he said.
Holmlund said it wasn't clear where Murray picked up the vehicle, or to whom it belonged.
"It was a golf cart. How it ended up in this predicament I don't know," he said, adding that Murray wasn't facing any theft charges.
It isn't illegal to drive a golf cart in city traffic in Sweden, but Holmlund said it is very unusual.
"I have done this since '68 and I've never experienced anything like this," he said.
Murray was among the cast members on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." He was nominated for an Oscar for 2003's "Lost in Translation." His screen credits also include the 1980 golfing comedy, "Caddyshack"; "Groundhog Day"; and "Rushmore."
