| In 1996/1997 habe ich eine Trakker besessen, das ideale Lerninstrument für meinen Sohn damals. Bekommen habe ich die durch schriftliche,persönliche Anfrage an Bill Kaman. Das Instrument wurde - durch Bill veranlasst - direkt mit der nächsten Lieferung an Musik-Meyer in Marburg geliefert, von da an meinen Händler in Kassel, wo ich das gute und sehr seltene Stück dann auch persönlich in Empfang nehmen konnte. Vermutlich die erste und einzige Trakker, die je nach Deutschland gekommen ist. Wenn man sich mit Ovation-Kennern unterhält, muss man jedoch immer feststellen, dass diese 3/4-Gitarre in Deutschland absolut unbekannt ist. Schade eigentlich, es ist nicht nur eine hervorragend bespielbare Reisegitarre; sondern auch ein ideales Instrument für Kinder zum Lernen, und auch sehr gut geeignet für Menschen,die nicht mit einer normalen Körpergrösse aufwarten können. Kennt denn niemand diese Gitarre ?? Selbst im www und auch hier beim OFC kein Treffer mit der Suchfunktion. Schade eigentlich,dieses Modell würde auch hier in D. seine Käufer finden, wenn es bakannt wäre. Diese Gitarre ist um Klassen besser als die meisten bekannten Travel-guitars. Leider habe ich gerade die Typ-Nummer nicht zur Hand, damiz wäre die Suche im Netz (google,etc.) leichter. Ich habe nur noch ein Foto und das Bestätigungsschreiben von Bill kaman als letzte Erinneeung. Verkauft habe ich das gute Stück, weil ich damals schon 3 oder 4 Ovations hatte und sie ihren Zweck als Lerninstrument hervorragend erfüllt hat.

In 1996/1997 I owned a Trakker, the ideal learning instrument for my son at the time. I obtained it by writing a personal letter to Bill Kaman. At Bill's request, the instrument was shipped directly with the next delivery to Musik Meyer in Marburg, and from there to my dealer in Kassel, where I was able to pick up this wonderful and very rare instrument in person. It was probably the first and only Trakker ever to make it to Germany.
However, whenever you talk to Ovation enthusiasts, you always find that this 3/4-size guitar is completely unknown in Germany. That's really a shame, because it's not only an excellent travel guitar that's a pleasure to play, but also an ideal instrument for children learning to play, and very well suited for people who are not of average height.
Does nobody know this guitar? Even on the web and here at the OFC, the search function doesn't return a single result. That's a shame, because this model would certainly find buyers here in Germany if people knew about it. This guitar is leagues better than most of the well-known travel guitars.
Unfortunately, I don't have the model number at hand right now, which would make searching the internet (Google, etc.) easier. All I have left is a photo and Bill Kaman's confirmation letter as my last memories. I sold this wonderful instrument because I already owned three or four Ovations at the time, and it had fulfilled its purpose as a learning instrument perfectly.
