Location: Pewaukee, WI | I just got my '69 1115 back from CT. The action on the old neck was real high (probably needed a neck reset) and my fat fingers don't work so well on a wide neck, so I had a narrow 6 string neck put on. Kind of like a 97 Collectors. As usual, they went way beyond expectations, refinishing the top, replacing the rosette, making a 6 string version of the winged bridge and re-texturing the bowl. Also unexpected were the abalone inlays on the neck, and ebony tuner buttons. It's like a new guitar! I'll post pictures in a couple days. |

I sent it in with instructions to basically make it new. It was already in pristine shape, so I knew it wouldn't take much. All they did was dress the frets and do a setup. I know it's a matter of opinion, but this and the 1614 are my absolute favorite guitars. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | I just noticed that they strung it with Adamas strings. My last guitar sent to the factory came back with EXP strings. Is it because it's a slothead, maybe? Anyone else had this experience? What came on the OFC guitars? |
