| Hi,
Glad to join the forum. I currently have two Ovations, an early 90's Elite 1868 I've had for a number of years and an 2001 Adamas 1597 which I recently acquired.
I came to the forum trying to figure out what shims should be used for the Adamas. I've got a buzz on the D & G strings from the 5th to about the 17th fret, I tweaked the truss rod a bit and it didn't really help. The action is really low at 4/64+/- on the bass side so I'm thinking a shim might do the trick before I head to the luthier. I can find the OCP shims that my Elite would use but the Adamas has thinner bridge that is 5mm and the only shims that come up on a search are 2.6mm. Are these correct or what should I be looking for?
