There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
-Leonard Cohen: Anthem
And howabout this for visceral imagery:
"We went down to the courthouse
And the judge put it all to rest
No wedding day smiles,
no walk down the aisle
No flowers, no wedding dress."

Btw, I was just thinking about you. I bought and just opened a bottle of Reeds Ginger Ale . They have quite a variety and it is very, very good. |

Believe me Cliff, if you able to still sing and breathe without setting fire to your beard; the nearby fauna or flora (not to mention any surrounding area); then you have not! It is regulated with a warning label by the E.P.A. (Extra Pain Alert)!
Good though! And most scars are gone in 30 to 60 days! Of course, what goes in........

Oh, I can appreciate lyrics and the artistry it took to create them, especially the economy of expression some writers are so adept at.
But it was music that made me want to be a musician and I see lyrics as being along for the ride. Given the choice of listening to a symphony or a poetry reading, I'll take the symphony. |
