Location: Germany | I replaced the golden carabiner that came with the OFC strap with a plastic one:
These plastic carabiners are always used with saxophone straps. Sax players have the same problem as the strap holder fixed at their instrument is also a golden metal ring. And they don't like the metal-on-metal rubbing. As I quite often play standing it also seems to be a better solution to me than the original carabiner.

What about using another piece of leather to connect the strap to the ring, it might look a little classier too. |

Simple, no rattles, use it with any strap and it cost a dollar. |

Location: Germany | There are many things you can use to fix a strap on the strap ring. But I have the need to lock and unlock it very fast and therefore a carabiner seems to be the best solution at least for me.
These saxophone carabiners are made for professional use by musicians. They are veeeery strong, I don't need to worry to lose the guitar.

Hey, by the way did you see the changes on the Adamas website. It's no longer called the Adamas Custom Shop. New name is the Alpep Custom Shop.
Keep up the good work. Dave
