Location: Illinois, U.S.A. | This is not a question of which guitar you would own if you could, or which guitar in your collection is your favorite-sounding or best-looking. Which guitar do you keep out on the stand at home for a quick relaxing moment as the opportunity presents itself.
Mine is a thirty-year-old, made-in-Japan, nylon-stringed Takamine C-128 I bought used on eBay for $212 .... I play it every day. Thirty years of aging seems to have compensated for its humble construction. My other gems I keep cased, and retriving one is more of a ritual, so they don't get played as often. |

It's just such a light, comfortable guitar t'play when you're used to heavy roundbacks. It's like cradling a small animal, and puts out such a BIG sound for it's relative size. It's an awesome fingerstyle guitar. I mainly use it for figuring/working out tunes. It's great for traveling too, as it's (in a padded gigbag) very airplane-friendly & doesn't take up a lot of space in a loaded car. |

It's easy enough to pull out a guitar to play. My current favorite is a Hohner G3T broomstick or the daughter's 1778 Elite T. |

Pretty much, she avoids guitars in the stand nowadays. ;) |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | Since the accident that gave Gertrude her extra "sound vent," mine all stay cased. Jewel (s/s LX) is the one who gets played all the time, except when the yearning for a big boomy sound, wonderful neck and DADGAD overwhelm me and I play Gertrude (and live with the resulting pain.)
I play Plink (cheapie mando) quite a bit now, too.

Down in the music room all the rest are in reach and the old recliner's arms are so flattened out that I can play guitar in the chair. |

Location: big island | before i sold it, the taylor big baby was always out of its case and close at hand. it handled hawaii's climate well, played like melted butter and sounded great for a $350 guitar. i like to play guitar propped up while lying in bed in the evenings and roundbacks don't work so well in this position without bending a knee up to hold it in place. with the exception of the snake t-bolt on loan from musicmike, i am down to two guitars. of those two, the takamine EF75 is certainly the most comfortable and easiest to play in my preferred posture. it is also a great serenading-the-wife guitar :D
(it has to stay in its case when not in use though) |

Location: Midland, MI | On the stand (inside the door to the master bedroom) is a beautisimous 1681. Next to my comfy chair in the family room, not on a stand, but leaning up against the arm of said chair at all times for the last, uh, long time, is a first-run Heritage H137D.
The 1681 gets played first thing in the morning, and last thing at night. The H137D gets played the rest of the time. Unless I'm teaching Parker (now 15 months) to strum the uke (which is stashed conveniently behind said comfy chair). |
