| Hi All.
I do own an Ovation guitar. Bought it new from Record Rendezvous in Merced CA in 1972.
Model 1123-4, sn 004780.
It doesn't get played too often these days and every time I do play it I think to myself that I need to play it more. It sounds almost as nice as my Taylor 214ce-N, just missing the electronics.
I'm currently living where the relative humidity is typically less than 20% and has been known to drop below 10. I have a humidifier in my music room but the Ovation typically lives in its case in a closet. Does anyone know how susceptible this instrument is to cracking due to the low humidity? With the composite back I thought it would be almost immune but friends are telling me it might not be.
Cheers,
