Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I recently got a CC255 (not to be confused with a CS255) 12 string.
I believe that I need to install a shim. But I wanna do it a coupla times - trial and error til I get the right height.
I have heard that I can do it without removing the strings. I'd like someone to tell me how. Please!
I'm sure I could figure it out, but it is always nice to have advice before any project.
[That is why I originally came to the OFC. The stupid jokes came later...]
The strings are good, although I may end-up changing them once I find the primo height.

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Kinda what I figured. Then re-insert the strings into the tuners, and go for it.
Will that give me enough room without bending the string too much?
Aw, whatever, I'm gonna change 'em once I get the height right. |

Location: Alberta, Canada | Someone here, awhile back, suggested placing a capo at the fifth fret, loosen strings to where you can get the saddle out, change out shims to satisfaction, tune back up and your there. I tried it and it was no fuss no muss and quick.
